Developing classes for children from 2 years old
Montessori Toddler group for children from 2 to 3 years old
After two years, the baby is already, as a rule, ready to stay without a mother for some time. The kid expresses more confidence in other person – a teacher, and shows more interest in other children. Lessons at the Toddler group for children of age 2-3 years old will help the child to discover the diverse world of knowledge, senses, music, art and will teach him the elementary rules of behaviour in society. Until then, mom was always there, and now the baby is getting used to independent activity and communication.
This age is extremely important for formation of the child’s personality, his activity and independence from the adult. We hear from him more and more often: I’ll do it myself. Moreover, at this age, children are often naughty just because they don’t want adult to interfere into his activities. Therefore, during this period the adult is more an observer than a leader.
Developing activities in the Toddler group give the child the opportunity to do everything by himself. He has a natural motivation to explore the world around him, and a special environment in the classroom fully meets needs of that age:
- in freedom,
- in independence,
- in movement,
- in vigorous activity,
- in sensory feelings,
- in order,
- in communication with adults and mates.
Developing classes for children aged from 2 years old include the intellectual, mental and social development of the child. Activities often change from one to another. Children learn songs in native and English languages, dance, develop small motor skills through finger games. The teacher often conducts various musical exercises, as well as games with objects (bells, maracas, sticks, handkerchiefs, etc.), puppet theatre and other. In the Toddler group, the children develop a love for art, a sense of rhythm, musical ability, memory and attention.
